Welcome Grandparents!
As moms & dads, grandmoms & granddads, we naturally fear for the future of our kids & grandkids. We do everything in our power to ensure they have the necessary values, skills and education to have a better life than we did. Throughout their young lives, we teach them love of God, love of country, to be good citizens and to have compassion and empathy for those less fortunate. We nurture, guide, cajole, cheer, laugh and cry, but most of all we love them unconditionally and suffer from 'empty nest' when they finally venture out on their own until they return with their own little family, our grandkids.
However, events are afoot within our government that cause us to fear for the future of our kids & grandkids. The current administration in Washington, Democrats and Republicans alike, are not only saddling our children & grandchildren with an obscene debt before their lives have begun, but are fundamentally transforming America before our eyes.
We have never been politically active or involved in government, but feel the need to stand up to protect our freedom currently under attack by our own government. As grandparents, we have weathered many crises in America which have made us stronger as a people and as a nation. However, the current assaults against our fundamental rights under the Constitution--freedom of speech, right to bear arms, right to assemble, right against unlawful search & seizure--is enough to cause us, as grandparents and freedom-loving Americans, to wake up and take a stand!
We know the truth, we know the definition of freedom, we know what freedom means to us as a nation and we know when the government is subverting our rights under the Constitution. Our legislators are shredding the Constitution as we speak...do we really want that to happen?
We are grandparents who are new at this website building thing. So, please be patient with us as we attempt to build a website that provides information, opinion & steps you can take to save our freedom.
Thank you.
Grandparents For Liberty
Tyranny is when the people fear the government. Liberty is when the government fears the people.
That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from consent of the governed.
Declaration of Independence,
